CCAT Virtual Reality Field Trip Webinar

VR event flyer

CCAT hosted a webinar on 19th May 2021 as part of our work on exploring the use of virtual reality (VR) technology as a tool for a range of research activities. Following on from some workshops with academics in University College Dublin and Cardiff University we found that there was interest in seeing how VR technologies are being used in universities and especially for fieldwork. We had an international line-up of speakers who spoke about the evolution of VR, the psychology behind the use of VR for behaviour change and the practical application of the technology for field trips. We have over 60 attendees and the feedback from participants was very positive.
The recordings of the five talks are available on the CCAT YouTube channel here.
