CCAT has created a virtual field trip to Amroth Beach in Pembrokeshire. The trip will give students an understanding of the challenges faced by Amroth due to climate change.
The trip uses interactive maps and quizzes to take students through the history of the area, climate change and sea level rises as well as exercises on measuring and mapping the area.
Amroth is a great location for this field trip as it has been affected by coastal flooding and erosion. It has a rich history and was once a coal mining area. The shoreline provides great evidence from 5,000 years ago when sea-levels was very different.
